China Guangxi News Network Nanning News (Reporter He Dingjian) On the morning of July 23, a man got into a police car on a section near Rongbaohua Community on Xingguang Avenue in Nanning City. He was suspected of using a car code grabber to steal the car owner's belongings.

At the Jingkai District Police Station, the reporter saw the suspect and he admitted the fact of the theft.

It is understood that the owner of the car is Mr. Qiu, who drove his relatives to Rongbaohua Community. After parking the car, he and his relatives got off the car one after another and walked in different directions: the relatives went to buy buns nearby, while he went to the vegetable market to buy vegetables. "The thief followed me to the market. I didn't notice it at all at the time. When I came back from shopping, I realized that my relatives saw someone stealing the car, so they caught the thief and called the police." Mr. Qiu recalled that he also locked the door many times when he got out of the car. Pulling the car door open, he left after making sure it was locked. "It's really unbelievable that someone can open the door easily after it's locked." Mr. Qiu said puzzled.

After investigation, the suspect's surname was Lu and he was from Hengxian County. According to Lu’s explanation, the car code grabber he used was purchased online last year and has been used many times in Guangdong to steal property from other people’s cars. “This is a pandora code grabber, also known as a car key remote control. The copier is mainly used by locksmiths to read the encryption code transmitted by the remote control. It can also receive information from the remote control key at a distance of 80 meters and control the car from a distance of 80 meters."

A policeman handling the case at the Jingkai District Police Station said that after the code grabber receives the electronic remote control information from the car owner, it can immediately open the car door through decoding. The police reminded that if car owners find suspicious people around before locking the car, it is best to give up the electronic remote control lock and lock the car manually. In addition, please do not put valuables in the carriage.
